In the Design - the only poly with specialisations in Architecture and Product Innovation - you will be trained for creative careers in diverse sectors. In fact, design has become so fundamental that many non-design companies are hiring design-trained professionals!

Design (Architecture and Product Innovation) offers a broad-based foundation year that focuses on new economy skills such as design thinking and user experience/interface design as well as spatial experience and planning. Many of our students like the unique diversity of the curriculum we offer in the first year, as it gives them a rich perspective of the various possibilities of design careers.

In Design (Architecture and Product Innovation), you will also be exposed to emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence for digital design. You will be introduced to digital fabrication, 3D printing, digital prototyping and visualisation, data analytics, as well as machine learning. Our partnership with the Singapore Institute of Architects will also open doors for you to participate in various activities to celebrate architectural design and the built environment.

Career Opportunities

Design (Architecture and Product Innovation) graduates can look forward to good employment prospects in both design and non-design sectors in roles such as architectural coordinator, 3D visualizer, BIM Modeler, facilities management coordinator and many more.
